Structural Water Treatment Plants

An Engineering company in Salt Lake City, Utah was tasked with structural analysis of 6 existing sedimentation reservoirs located in the mountains surrounding Salt Lake City. These reservoirs are used to supply water to the growing population in Salt Lake. VARA's 3D team was requested to provide LiDAR scanning and mapping to identify cracks in the concrete walls and ceilings for the project. VARA not only provide CAD elevations mapping crack length and location but also provided panoramic photos which could them be utilized in the companies evaluations as well. The egineering company then used the VARA 3D mapping and panoramic photography in its site analyses to determine if the existing facilities required re-enforcement or replacement.
