This project needed as-built conditions within ¼ inch of the actual site conditions. Since, drawings were outdated and changes had been made over the years, LiDAR and High Definition Panoramic Photos were utilized to create facilities and maintenance plans which reduced facilities management and engineering field time. George Chin reported that VARA's micro-station deliverables were of high quality and very affordable. He told VARA that they (Walnut Creek Office) had used LiDAR on other projects without receiving a design worthy as-built deliverable and had paid significantly more for what they had received. George and Walnut Creek Office have used VARA3D on 4 other projects in Watsonville since the 1st project in Vallejo.
