This project was needed as built conditions within ¼ inch of the actual site conditions. Since, drawings were outdated, and changes had been made over the years, LiDar and high definition panoramic photos were utilized to create facilities and maintenance plans which reduced facilities management and engineering field time. One Engineer reported that VARA’s micro station deliverables were of high quality and very affordable. He told VARA that they had used LiDar on other projects without receiving a design worthy of being built as deliverable and had paid significantly more for what they had received.
